Since it was launched in 2019, M³ College Connections has helped more than 500 Milwaukee Public Schools students who collectively earned nearly 7,000 credits from Milwaukee Area Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee — all before they graduate high school.

The students have saved more than $2 million in college tuition costs.

Through this innovative dual enrollment opportunity, MPS seniors can earn up to 21 college credits during their final year of high school. Students take English and mathematics classes at MATC and educational psychology and ethnic studies courses at UWM. Students also have the option of taking nursing or science courses at MATC. They attend courses as a group, learning and getting accustomed to college campuses together.
