The UWM Libraries have entered into a Read and Publish Agreement with the Company of Biologists. Beginning in January 2023, UWM authors will be able to publish in all five Company of Biologists journals without paying any article processing charges (APCs).
The Libraries encourage UWM authors to take advantage of our newest transformative agreement and consider submitting relevant scholarship to Biology Open, Development, Disease Models & Mechanisms, the Journal of Cell Science, and the Journal of Experimental Biology. Accepted open access articles will be immediately available under a CC-BY license, allowing authors to maintain their rights.
In addition to APC-free publishing, authors will also benefit from the automatic deposit of articles into PubMed Central, article DOI registration with CrossRef, exposure of authors’ ORCID IDs, and uncapped fee-free publication throughout the duration of the agreement (January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2025).
