The following courses are required for the Italian minor. Waiver or substitution in any of these categories may be approved, in some circumstances, by the assistant to the chair for undergraduate affairs in consultation with the student’s advisor.

  • Italian 311 - Advanced Conversation and Composition: Contemporary Italian Usage, 3 credits
  • Italian 312 - Contemporary Italian Language and Culture, 3 credits
Electives (12 credits)

Selected from the Italian curricular area, including courses in language (beyond the first year), literature, film, culture, and civilization.

At least 9 credits must be taken at the 300-level or above in residence at UWM.

GPA Requirements

The College requires that students attain at least a 2.000 GPA on all credits in the minor, including any transfer work.
