Farheen Rukhsana, Recipient of the 2025–2026 Helene M. Overly Graduate Scholarship!
We are pleased to announce that Farheen Rukhsana, a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering (Transportation) at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee under the supervision of Professor Dr. Xiao Qin, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025–2026 Helene M. Overly Graduate Scholarship.
Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, Farheen earned a Master of International and Development Economics from Australian National University. She also served for more than nine years with the Roads and Highways Department in various professional roles. In addition, she is a certified Project Procurement Specialist, recognized by the International Training Centre of the ILO.
After graduation, Farheen aims to work in the policy arena to advance safe and sustainable transportation systems. She believes that connecting with WTS Wisconsin and WTS International will provide a valuable platform to collaborate with professionals dedicated to improving the transportation field.
