I started an Innovative Weather as an Intern during the summer of 2015, and was operational by mid-September. I was born and raised in Sheboygan WI and have lived in WI all but one year of my life. I have been interested in weather for a very long time, ever since I was a kid I was teased by family members about being a weatherman when I grew up. I have always had an aptitude for math and science throughout my schooling, and although meteorology is a perfect fit, I didn't start college as an atmospheric science student. I started at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities as a biochemistry major intending on going to pharmacy school, but after a few bad experiences with professors and TA's, decided to transfer during the summer after my freshman year. I didn't originally look at UWM when I was in high school, and instead was leaning toward Valparaiso for meteorology, but it just so happened I had a place to live already lined up in Milwaukee, and my mom got sick that summer as well, so being able to visit every weekend was a major factor in my decision to go to UWM. I graduated in May 2016 from the UWM atmospheric science program, and have worked at Innovative Weather since. My free time away from weather is generally spent with my dog, playing games, being active outdoors, or watching/discussing sports as an avid Packer and Blackhawks fan.
