Tyryn Garza

My name is Tyryn Garza. I am currently in my 3rd year at UWM as an Atmospheric Science major. I grew up in the small town of Elkhorn, as a kid I have always been fascinated by the weather. Whether it was severe storms rolling in or hurricanes down south, these events always caught my eye. It was not until the latter half of high school when I decided I wanted to pursue this path. When I am not at school or working, I can be found with friends or at the gym. I also love taking opportunities to chase when I have time, I have been lucky to be able to witness several tornadoes so far. I do enjoy sports like basketball and soccer, most summer days, that will occupy my time. As I finish up my degree, I look to have a career in forecasting with the National Weather Service.
