School of Information Participates in Summerfest Tech Events June 29-30, 2022

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) is hosting the Fifth Annual Summerfest Tech event Wednesday, June 29 and Thursday, June 30, 2022 and the UW-Milwaukee, School of Information Studies is thrilled to be one of the sponsors of Milwaukee’s Premiere Tech Event!

Summerfest Tech connects the tech community around relevant topics. This year’s focus is on innovation. Events include programming from local, regional, and national speakers; with keynotes, breakout sessions, and panel discussions on innovation by design, collaborations, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cryptocurrency/non-fungible tokens, plus much more!

Summerfest Tech events will take place across the city of Milwaukee, including at the Saint Kate Arts Hotel, the new BMO Tower, Milwaukee Artist Resource Network’s (MARN) new location in the Third Ward, and at Henry Maier Festival Park during Summerfest.

The School of Information Studies is a sponsor of this year’s Summerfest Tech Attendee Networking Event on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 12:00 – 4:00pm where winners of the Summerfest Tech Pitch Competition will be announced. Join us as we celebrate with the participants and spend time networking with SOIS students, staff, and alumni, along with other VIPs and attendees of Summerfest Tech. Also on June 30th, SOIS Senior Lecturer Matt Friedel will be presenting a session entitled, “Funding All Ventures” where he shares his tactics, and strategies for funding ventures at any stage.
