Jeff Schreiber

Jeff is a proud Panther graduate, earning both his BA in Secondary Education/English(1992) and MLIS (2002) from UWM while also competing in Track and Cross Country as an undergrad.  Jeff taught high school English for 16 years before taking his current role as Library Media Specialist at Germantown High School, where he has been for the past 15 years.  At Germantown, Jeff specializes in collection management strategies, independent reading initiatives, and high interest nonfiction.  He is also the Advanced Placement (AP) Research Capstone course instructor and is a certified ISTE U Certified Future Ready Librarian.

Jeff has presented numerous times at Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association (WEMTA) and School Leaders Advancing Technology in Education (SLATE) conferences.  He’s published book lists in VOYA Magazine and has a blog jockbrarian.com focusing on high interest nonfiction sports books.  Jeff has been involved in Advisory Boards and workgroups with UW Milwaukee SOIS, UW Madison CCBC, Wisconsin DPI, and UW School Library Education Consortium.
