Bio:

Sarah Beth Nelson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies. She researches oral information practices. Prior to joining UWM, Sarah Beth coordinated the library media program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and coordinated the UW System School Library Education Cooperative. Sarah Beth earned her doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina School of Information and Library Science. Before that she was an elementary librarian at The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also worked as a children's library assistant at the Athens-Clarke County Library in Athens, Georgia. While living abroad in Norwich, UK, Sarah Beth created a small collection of American picture books and presented programs on American culture and WWII for the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library. Sarah Beth performs as a storyteller in fringes, festivals, and open mic events, specializing in personal stories and stories from classical mythology. Website: https://www.sbnelson.com/
