Staying Safe Online
The best way to keep yourself safe online is to become more familiar with the signs of phishing scams, common scam types and how to handle a phishing email. If you are ever unsure about an email you receive, do not respond or click on anything. Forward the email to abuse@uwm.edu, and UWM’s Information Security team will be able to help confirm anything suspicious. Visit the cybersecurity webpage for more information.
Digital Accessibility
UWM, like all other UW campuses, is working toward an April 2026 deadline that ensures our digital resources — from documents and webpages to videos and all apps — are accessible to every reader, viewer and listener. Everyone at UWM shares responsibility in making UWM accessible to all. Digital accessibility creates an inclusive learning and working environment that advances student success, closes equity gaps and promotes employee well-being.
