Summer Hours (May 18–August 14, 2026):
The Graduate School Office will not offer in-person services on Fridays. Virtual support remains available during regular business hours, and in-person services continue Monday–Thursday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. as usual. We’re always here to help!

If you plan to return to your graduate program after an absence of two or more semesters (excluding summer and UWinteriM sessions), you must apply to re-enter the Graduate School using the Graduate School Admission Application. You will be able to indicate your intention to re-enter your graduate program in the Biographic Information section of your application.

The Graduate School has the following requirements for re-entering students:

  • Completion of a semester’s work within the past five years.
  • A cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0.
  • Clearance of academic and administrative holds.
  • Being within the time limit for degree completion.
  • A $25 processing fee.

You may also need the approval of your graduate program unit. Check with your unit about its re-entry requirements.
