Together with the Milwaukee Education Partnership (MEP) and Summerfest, UWM is thrilled to support students and families who need assistance with the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Submission of the FAFSA is a necessary step for students and their families who seek scholarships, grants or loans to attend a higher education institution.

The United States Department of Education (ED) has made available the new 2026-2027 FAFSA application (see https://studentaid.gov for additional information).

Those who initiate the application process before July 4, 2026, will be given a free pass to this year’s Summerfest. Passes will be distributed through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Student Financial Services. Families/students must begin to complete the FAFSA process at any of the recommended sites listed below to receive a Summerfest pass. Submit your information to receive your pass below:

The Milwaukee Public Schools College and Career Centers assist all Milwaukee-area students in grades 6 through 12 (and beyond) with FREE support. Twenty-three school-based centers are open during regular school hours and after school (selected locations) for postsecondary planning and access help.
