Appealing Academic Decisions
The Department of English uses the process specified by the UWM Graduate School for appealing academic decisions such as grades or academic standing.

Discrimination and Harassment
Discrimination and harassment claims are handled by UWM’s Office of Equity/Diversity Services (EDS).

The Ombuds Council
The Office of Conflict Resolution is an independent, informal, neutral, and confidential resource that helps members of the university community resolve problems, complaints, and conflicts informally. The Ombuds Council can be a useful first step for anyone considering an appeal.
