Join us for an evening of community, food, and film as we welcome Ukwakhwa for a special screening of Kanenon:we – Original Seeds. We’ll begin the event by sharing a warm, fire‑cooked soup at the EQI Fire Circle, creating space for connection and conversation before the film.
Kanenon:we – Original Seeds follows three Haudenosaunee seed keepers—Angela Ferguson, Rebecca Webster, and Rowen White—as they step back into their ancestral responsibility of tending original seeds. Through regeneration, rematriation, and protection of these sacred seeds, they offer a powerful vision of Indigenous food sovereignty and cultural revitalization.
