Research Interests

Misornu's research focuses on organizational communications, focusing on women in leadership and the role gendered expectations communications play. She is also interested in interpersonal communication, specifically long-distance marital relationships.Her previous research focused on a narrative analysis of the Spanish Flu with its similarities to COVID-19.
