Graduate Research Fellow

Tathagato is a PhD candidate at the Urban Studies Programs, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He received his MS in Geography from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India. Prior to joining UW-Milwaukee, Tathagato taught at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani for four years. His dissertation research focuses on the impact of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit policy in deconcentrating poverty. His broader research interests and expertise are in the areas of poverty, housing, inequality, social justice, opportunity, social theory, quantitative analysis, and GIS. Tathagato has several journal and book chapter publications along with numerous conference presentations. He is currently a Distinguished Dissertator Fellow at UW-Milwaukee and a Graduate Research Fellow at the Center.
