LGBTQA Students
As LGBTQ+ students and alumni enter the workforce, we understand that there are additional career-related challenges that our LGBTQ+ students and alumni face. Disclosure and comfort level regarding how open to be about personal sexual orientation and expression, can be challenging when searching for a career or job. Locating LGBTQ+ friendly employers and seeking advice concerning coming out during the job search at work can become easier with the help of the following resources. While the following resources are available to help navigate the workforce, we also encourage you to visit and speak with a career counselor in order to find individualized assistance.

Topics that we want to help with include:

  • Name changes on Handshake
  • Pensions & benefits
  • Discrimination/anti-discrimination laws
  • Workplace harassment
  • Sexual harassment
