The Tracing histories of biometeorology in the Global South and identifying challenges and opportunities for equitable future research workshop will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa July 1-3, 2025.
The workshop will be held at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. The workshop is made possible through the generous support and funding from the Tromp Foundation, the International Society of Biometeorology, and the University of Waterloo Lois Claxton Fund. This workshop is an opportunity for early career researchers in biometeorology to gather and explore how research in the Global South has been conducted and what opportunities exist to identify research gaps and build non-extractive collaborations between Global North and South biometeorologists.
The workshop will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa at the University of the Witswatersrand. Check out our Welcome to Johannesburg brochure to learn more about the venue.
