Call for Nominations for Elections to ISB Executive Board 2026 – 2029
It is the duty of the Elections Committee to call for nominations for the next ISB Executive Board (2026 – 2029). The current International Society of Biometeorology Executive Board (2023 – 2026) will conclude its three years term at the 24th International Congress of Biometeorology in Novi Sad, Serbia on 13- 16 July 2026.
The Executive Board will consist of elected individuals being the President, President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, two Vice-Presidents, and six regional Councilors, plus the immediate Past President and the IJB Editor-in-Chiefs. The current President Elect (Tanja Cegnar) will be confirmed by voting to become President. The current President (Scott Sheridan) will automatically become the Past President, and the current IJB Editor-in-Chiefs (Pablo Fernandez de Arroyabe, Angela Lees, and Alison Donnelly) will continue.
A full description of duties is outlined in the Biometeorology statues (Appendix A). Members can nominate themselves or another member in good standing1 for the positions outlined below:

All nominations are to be submitted to the Past President Marie Keatley (marie.keatley[at]rmit.edu.au) and Secretary (internationalbiometeorology[at]gmail.com) by 15 January 2026, six months ahead of the Congress.
Following receipt of the nominations for the above positions, we will arrange online voting for the Executive Board positions in due time.
1 Good standing member shall mean a member who has duly paid their dues in full and who has not been found to be in contravention of the Diversity and Inclusion Statement (or its named equivalent) and never done any harm to the scientific standing of the Society
2 In the case of nominating others, a candidate consent document is necessary to ensure a candidate is willing and able to serve, if elected.
