DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT

The International Society of Biometeorology is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion across its membership. We value the benefits of full and equitable participation to enrich educational experiences, critical thinking, effective communication, and a strengthened community. The Society encourages global engagement and inclusivity, striving to provide a safe and welcoming environment for collaboration and educational experiences, regardless of nationality, culture, race, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, appearance, or other factors of social diversity. The society therefore embraces and actively promotes participation and engagement, encouraging collegiality including mutual respect, support and fairness, regardless of level of education or academic position. Through the establishment of regional councillors on the Executive Board of the ISB and a Students and New Professionals Group, the society is working towards equitable representation of the global community. No forms of discrimination, bullying or harassment will be tolerated within the ISB, its congresses, or its flagship journal (International Journal of Biometeorology).
