New UWM center aims to confront discrimination in urban planning, policies

The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee has established a new research center focused on confronting racial discrimination in housing and urban planning. Led by experts in UWM’s School of Architecture & Urban Planning, the initiative will examine how planning policies have historically shaped—and often harmed—communities of color, with the goal of informing more equitable approaches going forward.
