Biography

Brent Watanabe is the owner of Watanabe Architecture + Design, a practice dedicated to high-performance and sustainable solutions. He earned both a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee School of Architecture & Urban Planning.

As a licensed architect and Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC®), Brent has applied Passive House strategies to a variety of projects. He also serves on the board of the Phius Alliance - Wisconsin chapter, advancing education and advocacy for passive building in the region. Brent’s professional practice and teaching emphasize energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and the integration of design excellence with technical performance, preparing students to address architecture as both a creative and climate-responsive discipline.
