Biography
Upon completion of graduate school, Tammy Taylor started her academic journey with the University of Wisconsin System. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Dean and Graduate Advisor in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture & Urban Planning (SARUP) Student Services Office where they take a holistic advising approach with students. She and her team lead some of the best school recruitment and retention initiatives.
An Iowa native with a philanthropic spirit and a passion for academia, Taylor brings a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and attention to detail to nearly everything she is engaged in. In addition to fostering student success, she has a pivotal role in her leadership role for both undergraduate and graduate SARUP students that include specialized programming and advising.
In addition, she contributes to numerous campus committees along with task forces and community-based boards. In recent years she has been the recipient of Building Block Awards, STAR Award, UWM International Advocate Award and the AIA Wisconsin Distinguished Service to the Profession Award.
