Biography
Amanda Koch, AIA, is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture & Urban Planning (SARUP) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) and Senior Associate at Engberg Anderson Architects.
At UWM SARUP, Amanda teaches a range of studios in the undergraduate core curriculum. She is interested in providing students with a rigorous yet supportive environment where they can explore their interests and develop skills critical to the profession of architecture. As a practicing architect, Amanda balances the conceptual with the pragmatic, aiming to give her students room to experiment while providing important context for how the work they do in school relates to the realities of the industry.
Amanda’s professional work includes multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, and libraries; while her academic and research interests include parametric modeling and digital design, graphic representation, and fabrication.
