IT governance will play a critical role in ensuring that the work begun by the Taskforce continues beyond its retirement. Following are the councils and subcommittees which comprise the UWM IT and data governance framework that will take possession of these outcomes and guide this work.
- IT Advisory Council – executive oversight for campus IT and data services, technologies, and practices
- AI Governance Subcommittee – provide oversight of the PantherAI suite of AI services to promote safe and responsible adoption, identify future capabilities to seek, and promote AI innovation
- IT Ethics and Privacy Subcommittee – provide guidance for safe and responsible adoption, practices, and use of AI and other technologies
- IT Security Subcommittee – provide guidance to effectively protect people, IT services, technology systems, and data from emerging cybersecurity threats through evolving technology and practice
- IT Infrastructure and Operations Subcommittee – provide oversight of campus IT infrastructure technologies and the operational practices used to deliver and support them
- CIO Council – a partnership amongst campus organizations at UWM which provide IT and data services to others to promote alignment and coordination
