Continue your pursuit of African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS) with a master’s degree or Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a student, you will advance your skills and knowledge of analysis and research so you can impact the world from a black studies perspective. Your professors will work with you to develop critical thinking skills and your own unique project focus.

An academic career in AADS provides graduate & doctoral-level students with an interdisciplinary education that centers the black epistemologies, perspectives, and interests through the study of history, culture, politics, and economics of African, African Americans and people of African descent. Our innovative faculty have published on a variety of topics.
