The industry Advisory Board provides guidance and advise on various program improvement issues such as curriculum revisions, student recruitment and outreach, co-op and internship programs, scholarships and fundraising, etc. Current members of the board are:

Lord graduated from UWM’s MS Mathematics program with an Actuarial Science Concentration in 2018. After graduating he began working as an Actuarial Analyst with Milliman and attained his ASA in 2021. Lord is currently an Associate Actuary with the Milliman Life M&A practice in Chicago. He is passionate about DE&I, continuous learning, and mentoring actuarial students.

Andrea Lau graduated from UWM in Spring 2017 with an Actuarial Science major and a double minor in Economics and Spanish. She was able to pass 3 exams while at UWM and attained her ASA in July 2022. Andrea is currently an Associate Actuarial Manager at Allstate Benefits, and her primary focus is First Year Group Health Insurance. Her role largely involves experience analysis on Self-Funded and Fully Insured plans.

Drake graduated from UWM in 2012 with an Actuarial Science major. He is currently a Senior Vice President of the Accident and Health Pricing team at National General (an Allstate Company).

Healthcare Service Corporation

Jada graduated from UWM in 2022 with an Actuarial Science major and an Economics minor. During her senior year at UWM, Jada served as the president of the Actuarial Science Club. After graduating she joined Health Care Service Corporation (A Blue Cross Blue Shield Company) based in Chicago. Jada is currently a Senior Actuarial Analyst on the Medicare Advantage Pricing Team, where she focuses on pricing and forecasting Medicare products.

Krystal graduated from UWM in 2015 with an Actuarial Science major. She started at Allstate as a Property and Casualty Actuary in 2015 and earned her FCAS in 2022. Krystal is currently a data scientist at Allstate.
