Biographical Sketch

Dr. Court joined the Foreign Languages & Literatures department in 2018 after completing his PhD at UW-Madison. He is excited to get to know the German-language students at UWM inside the classroom and at program events. He is currently expanding and revising for publication my dissertation on photographic representations of the First World War in the Weimar Republic. The project examines the interplay between visuality and ideology in contentious post-war debates about the conflict’s meaning in Germany.
