On November 30, 2022, the non-partisan organization Iranian Scholars for Liberty organized a Campus Rally for Iran at more than 200 colleges and universities around the globe. Prof. Anita Alkhas, faculty advisor to the Iranian Student Association at UWM, was asked by the students to share the statement in solidarity with the people of Iran that was read aloud at each of the rallies.
