Join the Student Health and Wellness Center for a transformative sound healing offering! Led by certified yoga instructor and sound healing practitioner, Parisa Shirazi Chavoya, we will begin with breathwork to help calm the nervous system and prepare the body for a 40-minute sound bath. Healing instruments will be played above you to gently guide you from a waking state of consciousness to a highly relaxed & meditative state. The benefits of sound baths include relieving stress, lessening anxiety, improving mental clarity, balancing your nervous system and so much more!
This session is beginner-friendly! Please bring a blanket and water bottle and dress in comfortable layers as the experience can make you cold. Those who are pregnant or have a pacemaker should consult with a doctor before attending. Please notify Parisa of any health conditions that she needs to be aware of before the session begins.
