MacKenzie joined the Student Health and Wellness Center, Health Promotion & Advocacy team in 2020. As the Health Promotion Coordinator, she supervises and leads a team of Peer Health Educators who provide health education, programming and skills-building workshops on a variety of health topics to UWM students. MacKenzie is dedicated to providing programs focused on harm reduction, prevention, health advocacy, and improving health outcomes for UWM students. She enjoys and welcomes opportunities for collaboration with colleagues and campus partners to co-host and develop new programs. MacKenzie believes that promoting individual autonomy in making healthy choices is crucial for supporting students in achieving their full health potential.MacKenzie earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Global Health from UW-Madison and a master’s degree in Public Health from UWM. In her free time, she loves reading, cycling, and going on long hikes with her husband and their Golden Retriever, Homer.
