Frame By Frame: May 1-5

Every part of you deserves to be seen, loved, and celebrated at UWM! Frame by Frame is a cross-campus project aimed to celebrate intersecting identities frame by frame. Stop by any of the Multicultural Student Centers or Centers for Advocacy and Student Engagement (CASE) to be a part of the celebration.

This project is an opportunity to showcase the diverse identities that our campus community holds by taking photographs to announce proudly that, frame by frame, identity to identity, all of ourselves are worth loving!

Pictures taken throughout the week will be available to print and pick up Friday, May 5th from 10 am – 12 pm in the CASE hallway where you are welcome to create your own picture frame to display what makes you uniquely you.

What:

Each UWM MSC and CASE office welcomes students to come by to have their photograph taken with Frame by Frame identity celebration signs. These signs can be mixed and matched to represent the unique, intersecting identities you may hold. These photographs can be printed and have the opportunity to be included in a UWM video that showcases the breadth and diversity of our student body.

When:

Monday, May 1st through Friday, May 5th during open hours of participating centers.

Participating Partners:

Inclusive Excellence Center, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans Resource Center, Military and Veteran’s Resource Center, Women’s Resource Center, American Indian Student Center, Black Student Cultural Center, Roberto Hernández Center, and Southeast Asian American Student Center.

Sponsored by the Student Health and Wellness Center

How:

Stop by any office to participate! Identity-celebrating signs, backdrops, and staff to provide support will be available at each center.

Printed pictures will be available for pick-up at the Frame Building Event on Friday, May 5 from 10 am to 12 pm.
