Aster Nelson

Aster Nelson is currently working toward earning their master's in behavioral health psychology at Carroll University and works at SHAW as a counseling intern. Aster earned their BA in English from Carroll University. Currently, Aster's therapeutic interests center around anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, self-acceptance, and issues that affect the LGBTQIA+ community. Aster believes that both the counselor and client bring their own forms of expertise to the counseling space and aims to make every counseling relationship a collaborative space that is built on trust, respect, and rapport.

In their free time, Aster enjoys reading, going for walks, watching anime and supernatural/sci-fi shows, doll repainting, and spending time with family, friends, and their bunny.
