Monitoring Foodborne Illness Investigation
The Student Health and Wellness Center, in coordination with county and state health departments, is tracking cases of cyclosporiasis, a gastrointestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis. While Wisconsin is not currently experiencing a localized domestic outbreak, cases are rising regionally across the Midwest, and many state cases are linked to summer travel. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time dedicated to raising awareness and supporting survivors of sexual violence. The UW-Milwaukee community understands the importance of educating communities about prevention, advocating for change, and promoting healing.

Get involved with our SAAM programming in April by attending workshops, visiting our fair in the Union, or wearing denim on Denim Day! Our events focus on helping bring our community together and working toward fostering a safe, supportive environment for everyone.
