Workshop Content:
This hands-on workshop focuses on the principals of firing the Japanese-style Anagama wood kiln at the picturesque UW-Milwaukee Waukesha Field Station. For more information on the kiln, see the link: https://uwm.edu/waukesha-field-station/kiln/). Participants have the opportunity to bring up to 4 cubic feet of bisque fired ceramic work made from cone 10 rated clay to be fired in the kiln. A selection of liner glazes will be available for students to use the week prior to loading the kiln.
