The Esports Lounge is currently under construction. A temporary Esports space has been opened in the Student Union, Room E147 on Campus Level by the Panther Shop. This space is open to all UWM students on select days until the opening on the Recreation Center Esports Lounge.

Reservations
Reservations are available for both PCs and consoles. Please check the guidelines below before submitting a reservation. All reservations will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Guidelines
- Each organization on campus is entitled to 1 full-room reservation per month, for up to two hours.
- Organizations are also entitled to 1 full-day tournament per semester.
- Organizations are allotted 40 hours of reservation hours per week. Reservations hours are determined as 1 computer or console reserved for 1 hour (ex: 5 PCs reserved for 2 hours = 10 reservation hours).
- Students using the lounge to play games as an individual or small group should not use the reservation form. Walk-ins are always welcome outside of full lounge reservation time.
You will receive an email with instructions for use once the reservation is accepted.
Please note that this is a request and may be denied or altered by staff if necessary.
Lounge Guidelines
The goal of the Union Rec Center is for all participants to have a fun and safe time in the space. In order to accomplish these goals, we require that participants follow these guidelines.
Usage Guidelines
- Users must be a current UWM student. No community members, guests, or alumni. Users must authenticate with a UWM sign-on unless otherwise specified.
- Users are responsible for your own property & damages. The university is not responsible for any loss of or damage to personal property or equipment. Users will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any damaged or broken equipment as the university deems fit. Items left in the Esports Lounge will be returned to the Information Desk at the end of the day.
- No food or beverage in the lounge. Bottles with caps or lids are allowed.
- Equipment must be appropriately used. The computers are to be used only for gaming. Gaming-adjacent programs (music, web-browsing, etc) must pertain to the activities of the Esports Lounge. For other computer needs, please see this list of campus computer labs.
- No downloading software/games without staff approval. Games must be approved and added by the Esports staff. If you would like to request a game or software to be added, please see Recreation Center staff.
- Personal equipment usage is allowed – but please reset the PC when finished.
Behavior Guidelines
- Be welcoming and inclusive! All users must be welcoming and inclusive to all gamers of all identities, backgrounds, and skill levels. Users must abide by Wisconsin State Legislature’s policies for conduct on University land, UWS 18.
- No abusive language or behavior This includes but is not limited to yelling, swearing, threats, gender or racial discrimination, bullying, harassment, and intimidation will be tolerated in the space. Violations of this policy will be reported to the Dean of Students and/or the Office of Equity/Diversity services as appropriate.
- No gambling or betting. This includes “friendly” gambling of any kind. Violations of this policy will be reported to the Dean of Students and/or UWM Police as appropriate.
