Events
The Craft Centre offers so many free options from demonstrations to crochet nights! We will offer different crafting projects frequently on the Union Concourse. Some of the projects offered will include you-paint-it pottery, macramé, string art, garland making, ornaments and much more!

Please join us on the Union Concourse for our Fall Artist Fair. Individual students, student orgs, and local artists will be selling their wares like pottery, jewelry, prints, greeting cards, and so much more.

Join Conhg Lopez for a free drop-in printing workshop! Conhg is an exhibiting artist in the Colors of our Communidad exhibition in the Union Art Gallery and will have everything you need to print a piece to take with you!
- October 17, 2024, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
In this workshop, participants will learn an alternative photography process dating back to the 1840s, creating images with a light sensitive solution that turns into a vibrant blue color when exposed to light. Participants will use photographic transparencies and objects as stencils pressed directly it to light to create their imagery.

Workshops
Each semester the Studio Arts & Craft Centre offers short-term workshops to teach different skills and techniques. Attendees pay a fee to receive instruction and supplies and end up leaving with a piece(s) of their own, along with new skills to keep making on their own!
The Studio Arts & Craft Centre reserves the right to cancel workshops due to low enrollment. In that case, attendees will be notified one day prior to the start date by 10am and will receive a full refund.
Memberships
The Studio Arts & Craft Centre provides a space for artists of all levels and media to create and learn. Students and paid members have unlimited access to the studio space including equipment, tools, and a wide array of free check-out items during your time in the space.

Due to University Safety Regulations and the nature of our space, no persons under the age of 13 are allowed in the Craft Centre. Persons between the ages of 13 to 17 require parental supervision at ALL times.

Oversees the fibers area and is always available to help patrons learn to use sewing machines and other equipment to expand their fibers practice!
Finn is a 4th year Art Education student with a focus on fibers. He was drawn to the medium due to its oftentimes repetitive, meditative nature. In his free time, Finn enjoys playing video games, cross stitching, and going on walks.
