Murder Mystery: Set Sail for Disaster

Monday March 2nd | Union Ballroom | 7pm

It’s a reunion night on the open seas! Join your fellow “alumni” for a cruise filled with laughter, nostalgia, and a twist! When a shocking murder interrupts the celebration, every guest becomes part of the investigation. The question is: Can you solve the case before the ship reaches shore? This event begins at 7pm. Please arrive on time to participate fully.

Let’s get crafty! Let out your inner geek with some creative pop-culture themed crafts that you can take with you.

Pop Culture Karaoke

Tuesday March 3rd | Union Fireside Lounge | 8-10pm

Grab your friends and warm up your voices to unleash your inner pop star with songs from all over pop culture! With songs from Shrek to K-Pop Demon Hunters to the Muppets. Musically themed snacks will be available. For those who aren’t interested in taking the stage, we have have personal activities to enjoy!

Mario Party IRL

Wednesday March 4th | Union Ballroom | 4-6pm

Do you love Mario Party? Grab your friends for real-life Mario Party minigames! Exchange coins you collect for awesome Mario-themed prizes. Or come just to hangout and play classic Mario Party with others!

Geeky Vendor Fair

Thursday March 5th | Union Concourse | 10am – 3pm

Ready to level up your space with a touch of geeky magic? Join us at the Geeky Vendor Fair, where local Milwaukee creators bring fandom-inspired art, treasures, and curiosities to life!

Distinguished Lecture Series: Tom Kenny

Trip to Anime MKE

Friday March 6th | Union Concourse | Bus Departs at 11am

Take a trip to the Anime Milwaukee Convention downtown to celebrate anime, manga, Asian culture, music, gaming and more! Registration opens at 10:30am. Bus departs at 11:00am. Transportation back to UWM will not be provided.

Fandoms and Frosting “Nailed It”

Friday March 6th | Union Ballroom | 3-5pm

Fandoms and Frosting is back with a twist! Put your dessert decorating skills to the test in UWM’s geeky version of Netflix’s “Nailed it.”

Join us for a creative and relaxing time inspired by everyone’s favorite pink pal from Spongebob SquarePants. Make your very own mini aquarium to take home – complete with colorful rocks, plants, and mini SpogeBob character figures to bring your reef to life! Whether you’re a marine life enthusiast or just looking for a chill, hands-on activity, this event is SHORE to make a splash. The Geek Week Planning Assembly (or GWPA) plans and executes many of the Geek Week events! Students collaborate to create a diverse schedule that covers a range of niche interests. No matter what you geek out about, we want to share your passion and vision!

Craft The Schedule!

Collaborate with student organizations and campus partners to help their vision come to life! Geek Week is comprised of 20+ events that cover all corners of geek culture. Brainstorm must-see events, workshops, and screenings that’ll leave everyone geeking out!

Master Marketing!

Construct a concept and theme, design eye-catching posters, and create social media campaigns to share with students! Past themes include summer camp, tarot, and more!
