In preparing the slate of nominees for elective faculty standing committees, the Nominations Committee used the following procedures:
- Preference sheets were prepared and distributed electronically to the faculty. Levels of interest (“Very Interested,” “Interested,” or “Willing if Needed”) were tabulated from 141 returns out of a possible 585 (This number includes all persons holding faculty rank including those on sabbatical).
- Persons completing the preference sheet comprised the major pool of nominees. Attempts were made to achieve continuity and balance in committee membership.
Nominations from the floor may be made at the Faculty Senate meeting, March 19, 2026. Please be sure you have obtained the person’s consent for anyone you are nominating.
