July 8, 2025-University Staff Committee (USC)-Minutes

  1. Call to Order-The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m.
  2. Approval of June 10, 2025 Minutes-The minutes were approved as submitted via autoconsent.
  3. Chair update-Chair Dukes updated the committee.
    1. Proclamation Day went well with many members from campus and the community coming together to celebrate Chancellor Mone and his time here at UWM.  K. Valerius presented Chancellor Mone with the heartfelt thank you document that she had previously read at the Senate meeting in May. 
    2. Workday started on July 7.  So far it seems that the transition has gone well with the new system.  If you have issues contact the Workday team.
    3. New Chancellor Gibson will be starting on July 14, 2025.  He will be the 10th Chancellor for UWM.  Chancellor Gibson will be at the Senate meeting on July 15, 2025. He is also confirmed for the majority of the Senate meetings for the 25-26 year.
  4. Introductions of Members-New members introduced themselves. 
  5. Member reports-There were no member reports.
  6. New/Other Business-There was no new or other business.
  7. Adjournment – The meeting was adjourned at 10:18 a.m.
