Libraries Committee
The Libraries Committee represents Faculty interests in archives and library policy, advises the Director of the Libraries on administrative matters, and makes recommendations for Faculty action.
- Membership. The committee is composed of the following members:
- eight elected Faculty members, at least one from each Division;
- two Academic Staff members appointed by the Chancellor upon recommendation of the Academic Staff Committee;
- three students appointed annually by the Student Association, one of whom is a graduate student.
- three ex-officio and non-voting members, as follows:
- the Chancellor or designee;
- the Director of the Libraries;
- the Graduate Dean or designee.
- Functions.
- Represents the interest and authority of the University Faculty in archives and library affairs and in the establishment of policy.
- Makes recommendations for Faculty action.
- Advises the Director of the Libraries concerning administrative operation of the Archives and Libraries.
