Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m.


The minutes of October 17, 2025 meeting were approved by automatic consent.

New Business

  1. Academic Staff Orientation debrief.
    Reviewed comments from attendees and other feedback on the November 4th Academic Staff Orientation presentation.

    Agreed to revisit three main themes:

    Review how/if to include information on Workday and performance evaluations. This is still not uniform across divisions. Stephanie will reach out to
    HR for guidance.

    Reframe appointment types for more clarity, especially as this is also idiosyncratic across divisions. Suggestions include asking people to have their appointment letters/contracts in hand for the presentation and including our appointment type in introductions.

    NIAS is considering eliminating the Can I be of Service presentation and tossing that to our. Emily is on that committee and will get more information, including if they might create a website or newsletter with specific opportunities that we can point to.
  2. Our next meeting will be Friday, January 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Meetings following that will be the third Friday of the month at 1:00 p.m.
