Meetings:
The ARPC met once back on the 12th of September. Here are the topics that were discussed and the decisions made:
- Ioannis (Yianni) Floros was nominated and elected as Chair of the Admissions & Records Policy Committee
- Given the low frequency of the ARPC meetings it has been brought to the attention of the committee members to potentially merge the ARPC with the Academic Policy Committee (APC).
- It has been suggested that the ARPC members discuss in their next meeting the potential of making the probationary status known to the UWM transfer students. Another item has been added to the next ARPC meeting agenda that concerns the revision of the undergraduates’ English proficiency policy.
- Mark Young agreed to provide ARPC members with details on functions D & E of the ARPC charter.
On the 17th of September, Marc Young shared with the committee members an update on Admission decision criteria changes on second-choice major & probation decisions.
On the 7th of February, I reached out by email to the ARPC members to inquire about any issues that have come that needed to be addressed with a follow-up meeting. No issues were raised and as a result the ARPC did not meet again.
