New Business
Discussion – How to Change the Indirect Cost-Share Model for Research
Ali Abedi discussed that UWM is one of the only universities where the Office of Research does not receive indirect costs. As a result, the Office of Research is currently unable to fund research lab purchases, research travel expenses, graduate student support, etc. He wants to incentivize research funding to continue our R1 status.
