Policy
Eligibility and Criteria
These privileges may apply to anyone who has retired from the faculty, academic staff or permanent university staff service at UWM. Nothing in the policy is intended to supersede or interfere with the operation of SAAP 07-05, the Emerit Status – Faculty & Academic Staff policy or its procedures.
Annuitant Privileges
Anyone who retires from UWM and activates a Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) Annuity is eligible for the following privileges:
- Annuitants may retain eligibility for a University identification card for use in the UWM Libraries, UWM Sports and Recreation Facilities, and other campus facilities requiring a University identification card.
- Annuitants may be provided with University parking privileges, pursuant to the expectations of the UWM Parking and Transit Office.
- Annuitants may continue to have access to campus IT services upon request and approval according to the Annuitant ePantherACCOUNT Terms of Service. The University reserves the right to discontinue this service due to technological advances.
Responsibilities
All appropriate State of Wisconsin, UW System and UW Milwaukee rules and regulations including those governing the use of University facilities and conduct on University property apply. Annuitants are expected to continue to abide by the policies, standards and rules expected of everyone affiliated with this University. These privileges can be removed by the University for their abuse or misuse.
