Rationale
Effective in the 2018-19 academic year, UW-Milwaukee offers two distinct types of degree programs at the undergraduate level – bachelor and associate, each with its own distinct curricular track. The term “curricular track” means the catalog of courses available to students within their particular degree program. In general, students are expected to enroll within the curricular track associated with their particular degree program. However, circumstances are expected to arise when it will be advantageous to students to enroll in coursework within the curricular track that falls outside of their degree program. This policy exists to define the approval process for students in those circumstances.
Policy
Undergraduate students may enroll in coursework outside of the curricular track associated with their degree program with approval from their academic dean.
