The Hartford University School Gun-Free School Zone is defined as the area within 1,000 feet of the Hartford University School grounds.

Center Point (for reference)
Hartford University School grounds, located just south of E. Hartford Avenue and east of N. Maryland Avenue, serves as the center point for the zone.
The boundaries of the Hartford University School Gun-Free School Zone are generally defined as follows:
Northern Boundary
The northern boundary runs along the southern edge of Downer Woods, roughly at E. Newport Avenue, between N. Murray Avenue on the west and N. Downer Avenue on the east.
Eastern Boundary
The eastern boundary extends along the N. Downer Avenue corridor, encompassing the UW-Milwaukee Letters & Science buildings and areas just west of N. Downer Avenue, down to about E. Kenwood Boulevard.
Southern Boundary
The southern boundary generally follows East Kenwood Boulevard, including the UW-Milwaukee Student Union, Welcome Center, and adjacent campus facilities, before turning west into the residential area south of campus.
Western Boundary
The western boundary moves north through the residential neighborhood west of campus, generally near N. Cramer Street and N. Frederick Avenue, then curves east toward E. Newport Avenue, enclosing the western academic buildings and athletic fields.
The Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study Gun-Free School Zone is defined as the area within 1,000 feet of the Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study school grounds, located near N. Summit Avenue and E. Hampshire Avenue, east of the UW-Milwaukee main campus and west of Lake Michigan.
This gun-free school zone primarily affects areas east of the main UWM campus and includes limited portions of nearby streets and residential areas. The zone does not substantially overlap core academic buildings on the UWM campus. Any UWM-owned or controlled property within this zone is limited to peripheral areas near the eastern edge of campus, including the Hefter Conference Center

The Capitol Crossing Gun-Free School Zone is defined as the area within 1,000 feet of the Capitol Crossing school grounds, located north of W. Capitol Drive and west of N. Port Washington Road, on the northwest side of Milwaukee.
This gun-free school zone affects limited UWM-owned or controlled properties in the surrounding area and does not overlap the UW-Milwaukee main campus. The zone primarily encompasses nearby streets and non-campus properties in the Capitol Crossing area, as well as a portion of the University Services and Research Building.
