  • Junior, Kinesiology with a Pre Medicine track

I am truly honored to be invited to join Phi Beta Kappa. I am a junior at UW-Milwaukee, pursuing a major in Kinesiology on a Pre-Medicine path with minors in Chemistry and Biology.

UWM has provided me many opportunities to succeed in my academic career, and I would like to thank my professors and teachers over the years for all the knowledge they have given me. I would also like to thank my friends and family for always supporting me and motivating me to perform at my best.

My journey at UWM has been challenging after dealing with health issues, and now a pandemic with online school, but it has showed me how to be strong and how to persevere in hard times while always maintaining a positive outlook on life. Now, in my third year at UWM, I have considerably increased my knowledge as I was awarded the Outstanding Chemistry Student of the Year Award, and I have obtained my Advanced Emergency Medical Technician license and work as an AEMT.

I look forward to the rest of my collegiate career as I plan to perform undergraduate research, apply and work as an Emergency Department Technician, and then apply to medical school. It is a great honor to be joining Phi Beta Kappa, and I will strive to uphold the values this society symbolizes.
