I am extremely grateful to be accepted as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa chapter at UWM. I initially transferred to UWM three years ago as a Conservation and Environmental Science major. During my first two years at UWM, I maintained a high academic record and healthy social life in midst of searching for an area to pursue after graduation.

After taking Professor Genzmer's Geography 215 class: Introduction to Geographic Information Science, I realized I wanted to pursue a career in this area. In addition to the guidance provided to me from Professor Genzmer, Dr. Choi has also given me guidance and direction during my time as an undergraduate. Dr. Choi was my mentor during my time as a undergraduate research student assistant on his "Streamflow characteristic changes in a catchment with numerous high-capacity wells" project.

I appreciate the support that my friends, family, and UWM faculty have provided me during my time as an undergraduate. Congratulations to the 2021 UWM Phi Beta Kappa class!
