I have been extremely lucky to attend a school and a program that has broadened by horizons so much. Originally from a small city in southern Wisconsin, Milwaukee has been a big change for me. Here, I have met so many people of different backgrounds and been able to become involved with things I had never thought about. I joined a sorority, which I had never seen myself doing, and was honored to win an award designating me as having the highest GPA in our organization nationwide. My work with my sorority taught me important leadership skills, and I currently serve as the President of the Multicultural Greek Council at the University Wisconsin - Milwaukee. In the future I hope to teach abroad and eventually earn my Masters in library science.
